Our Story

Some places rise from walls.

And some places rise from people.

Hanul Boieresc was born from the longing for those old places where the table was set with care, the fire burned slowly, food smelled like home, and people sat together without looking at the clock.

With the wish to bring such a place to Curtea de Argeș, the inn opened its gates near the Princely Church, in a part of the city where every step keeps something of the peace of old times. Here, among stone, flowers, wood and warm light, a welcoming place settled for those looking for Romanian taste, peace and good cheer.

We did not want only a restaurant. We wanted an inn. A place where a person enters hungry and leaves wanting to return.

Near the Princely Church, in the heart of Curtea de Argeș.

For those coming from far away, Hanul Boieresc is a good stop after the road. For locals, it is a meeting place. For those heading toward Transfăgărășan, it can be the beginning of a story or a return stop.

But the charm of the inn is not only in its setting. It is in simple things: prepared tables, courtyard flowers, evening light, the people who welcome you and the smell of warm dishes. These are things that do not need grand words, but remain in memory.

In the garden you hear steps and laughter. On the terrace you feel the air of summer evenings. In the pavilions, people sit closer together. And in the dining room, warm light gives every table a festive feeling.

Romanian food, made with patience and brought to the table with care.

At Hanul Boieresc, the table has its purpose. It is not just a moment between two roads. It is an occasion to stay together, to speak slowly, to taste, to share and to enjoy.

Here you find Romanian dishes as they should be: honest, generous, warm. Browned roasts, platters for long tables, polenta, garlic sauce, good sauces, meat over embers and flavours that recall meals at home.

These are dishes that need few words. You feel them in the smell, in the steam, in the way people sit down and start sharing. A good plate brings peace. A platter placed in the middle brings conversation. And a full table brings people closer.

That is what we wanted the inn to be: a place where food has taste, and the table has soul.

The garden and the pavilions

The inn's garden has its own way of stopping haste. During the day, it is a place for a peaceful lunch, coffee, meetings and family meals. In the evening, it slowly changes. The lights come on, the courtyard fills, and you hear glasses, voices, laughter and steps on the paths.

The pavilions are made for stories. For friends who have not seen each other in a long time. For families gathered around the same table. For birthdays, baptisms, organized meals or simple evenings, unplanned but remembered.

At the inn, joy does not have to be grand to matter. Sometimes it lives in a raised glass, in a shared portion, in a fire burning quietly and in a table where people stay a little longer.

When the lights come on, the inn comes alive.

The wood gains colour, the garden dresses in light, and the tables fill with people who came to eat well and stay without hurry.

There are evenings with live music and good cheer, evenings around the fire, evenings with families, friends, children, grandparents, celebrations and stories told late into the night. A good meal, warm light, the right song and dear people nearby can feel like a holiday.

Here people laugh heartily. Glasses touch. Another portion is ordered. Someone sings softly at the table. People stay. And there is that simple good feeling you sometimes look for without knowing how to name it.

Hospitality

For us, hospitality means more than service. It means being welcomed properly. To enter through the gate and find a table ready, a kind word, a generous plate and an atmosphere where you can leave haste outside.

A true inn is not measured only in menus and seats. It is measured in the way a person leaves this place. If they leave full, that is good. If they also leave with a lighter heart, then the inn has fulfilled its purpose.

This is the story of Hanul Boieresc.

A story about taste, peace and good cheer. About old places brought closer to us. About long tables, evenings that stretch beautifully and the simple joy of being together.

We warmly await you, with the table ready and the gates open.
